Welcome To Wonderland

I’m so excited to be sharing my new blog name with everyone. I knew when I created the blog I would eventually have to change the name. After all, 30 Before My 30’s obviously had a pretty hard deadline. After my birthday, it wouldn’t exactly work!

So I’ve been thinking for a while now of a new name for the blog. I wanted something that fit me and that would last longer than a year and a half. I didn’t want to go the easy route of using my name. Plus I’m not cool enough to pull off a name blog. I wanted to come up with something clever or funny because I am totally those things! Hey, someone has to tell you how awesome I am!

If you’ve been reading the blog for a while, you may have noticed that I have a fondness for all things Alice in Wonderland. It’s my favorite Disney movie and I go absolutely crazy over getting to see Alice or any other Wonderland character at Disney.

My middle name is Alyce That’s
pronounced uh-lease.
So many people pronounce it Alice. Funny story, I’m named after a hooker on Perry Mason. She’s nothing but a common hooker. She changed the I to a Y and called herself Alyce. It’s probably funnier if you hear me say it with a thick southern accent.

My creativity, which is sometimes hidden from me, kicked in and I decided to use part of my name and something important to me. And Alyce in Wonderland was born. It’s pretty fitting however because this life I’m living is a world entirely of my own making. My husband and I have created a wonderful place of fun and chaos. If you could be a fly on the wall you would probably say, we’re all mad here!

I originally planned to change the blog over after my birthday, but I was just to excited to wait. Alyce in Wonderland feels like such a better fitting name for a blog mainly focused on my life.

Thanks to everyone for following me and staying with me this long!
